News Update: A Behind-The-Scenes Look at Charice's First Concert

Charice's first solo concert on July 27, 2009 entitled "Charice: The Journey Begins" to be held at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City at 8 pm will have Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez as part of the concert!

The Songbird is one of Charice's idols and when she joked in wanting her to be part of the concert, she was surprised when it is indeed Ms. Velasquez who will be participating in her first solo concert. It is another dream come true for Charice!

The concert, which was first announced early March, will have a concept following Charice's life through music.

Charice stated: "Itong concert na ito parang, sabihin natin na parang music of my life. Parang lahat po ng songs na naging parte ng life ko. Kung ano ang kinanta ko sa contest, kung ano ang kinanta ko sa Oprah, kung ano ang naging single ko sa first and second album ko and single ko sa US. So lahat po talaga." [Translation: This concert will have something like a music of my life. Almost all of the songs that has been part of my life. The songs that I sang in the contest, the songs I sang in Oprah, my singles in my first and second (Philippine-released) album and my single in the US. So, it's everything.]

Her fellow Little Big Star contestants will also be guesting in the concert.

A couple of days after the concert, she will fly back to the US to continue recording for her album, and an Asian tour is reported to be in the works.
