I have a very strong opinion about what is terribly wrong with Asian girl dating a white guy.

For me, I'm Asian and dating a white guy at this very moment. You might be surprised that we're going very strong for 8 months now.

I like how Rochelle ended her message:
In fact, if you ask most women, a guys looks only has a small percentage to do with how we perceive his desirability.

I believe that is true in most cases especially the white guys I've met. I've tried dating inside the Asian races but all I ever see is Asian guys going for the pretty Asian girls.
My reasoning? I've a plumpy figure so looks can be deceiving which I ended up not getting any approach by any Asian guys in my life.

From my experiences with white guys, I love how they like you for YOU and not based on outside appearances...and a EXTRA bonus, my boyfriend helped me boost up my self-confidence that I've never had in my entire life. Much less, living with a syndrome that will terribly affect my life of starting a family. So far, my boyfriend was able to accept the fact. So you tell me, what more can you ask for in a man? As far as I know, we come from a diversity world, there won't be anymore of the traditional Asian-Asian marriages you see nowadays (except for some very traditional Asian's families). Since I decided to make a new approach of dating, I've NEVER once regretted my choice of dating outside my Asian race.

I'm not sure whoever that wrote that negative message to Rochelle, but learn to respect other people's perspectives, opinions, and values.

Also, if you're basing your opinion on statistics then there no such means to it till you actually experience the true meaning of interracial dating.

^Not all Asian guys are like that BUT I do see you point of how all they care about is a cute face. I'm like that too sometimes so I can see where some Asian men are coming from. Personally, I can look behind looks as long as I like the person for who they are. A person's outer beauty can't compete with a person's inner beauty. I guess most Asians care about a pretty face as opposed to personality which to me is stupid. This goes for an race who thinks that too.

The white people that I have met in my life also like pretty faces too. What makes them more likable though is how open they are to dating anyone as opposed to some Asians only wanting to date cute Asian girls.

I have yet to be in an interracial relationship but I am very open to it. I love other cultures so it would be a very fun experience to learn!

Yeah this is true. I do know a lot of Asian guys who care about a cute face a LOT, but on the flipside I also know some who don't care about that at all.

And I also know white guys who only care about cute face + hot body + nice butt + etc

And I also know white/black/hispanic guys who only date Asians

And Asian guys who only date white girls

And Asian girls who only date black guys

And White girls who only date Asian guys

The thing is, everyone has a different preference for the type of guy/girl a person may like, and while it could be attributed to a person's race, they can still vary in what they like in people.

Yeah there is some people in particular that likes just one type of race or even the cute looks one but how rare can you find people that are capable to "open" up not look at cute looks.

Not so very common seeing looks is the perception for all to approach anyone...I haven't once met anyone especially in a man whom doesn't base their interest at first glance...lol xD

Well, before we get to know anyone, we see the person physical appearance so I think it's to be expected that the looks are important. But a person that is relationship-worthy will be able to see through the exterior. That is, of course, if the person being "examined" lets her true self show.
I really agree with the point about the attraction being somewhat cultural; I have a friend of mine who is pretty chubby. Well, here, she doesn't attract much attention but in our home country!!! I would be no match for her with my skinny figure!!!

wow from reading that article it seems that the person who wrote that is pretty hypocritical in some ways and seems to lack self-confidence as well. Why so insecure is my question to him.

The sheer abundance of caucasian males, especially if one grows up surrounded by them is simply going to tip the scale their way. Add on the taller and bulkier stature and they resemble the majority of males that grace the cover of magazines, on TV, or in movies which we have all been taught is "attractive." Growing up surrounded by predominantly caucasian males breed familiarity and people tend to pull towards what they are familiar with.

I'm sure there are those that seek out caucasian males simply because draping off the arm of one give you the illusion that they're exotic and as a couple they are different. Although interracial couples seem to be becoming the norm. Who knows, maybe the trend will turn and it'll be the "in" thing to date within your ethnicity.
