I don't really know but there are so many cases of white guys dumping asian girls after dating them for a while. This happened to some of my friends, 2 of my god sisters. Really gave me the impression that they are not serious, just fooling around. I don't mean that all of them are like that, just that I happened to come across these cases.

hmm i dont know if it will ever be the ''in'' thing to only date with in your ethnicity. To me, that seems so close-minded! Think of all the people who could make you happy in your life who just happen not to have the same color skin as you? For me, even though i am white, i dont get hit on by many other white guys, mostly its either black, asian, or hispanic guys( those are at first glance)
Once you get to know the person, black, purple, or whatever, the inside is the most beautiful thing.

I think the 5 reasons are: height, muscles, good-looking, eye color, and attitude?

While most of Rochelle's points are true to some extend, you have to admit the one about "uniqueness" comes off as racist. I might feel otherwise if she worded it differently.

But in my opinion, that made her sound like a sell out; I am not calling her a sell out though, but I am probably in denial about that. It's implying that white guys are somehow more unique than Asian guys or guys of other ethnicity. Bringing up "uniqueness" as a factor just sounds like she's trying to justify personal feelings rather than discussing social phenomenons; which would be the other four points.

Saying "different" or "a girl wants a boyfriend now" also made her come off like a slut, but that could just be me though.

Anyway she's right on the other four factors.

I think it's really inapropriate saying that, that way...
I have two things to say about that way of thinking.... I am against of all form of white are better than asians or asians are better than... Talking about superiority like that is a form of racist and there nothing that is true in that I think everyone is equal I go to university and it's a really multicultura place and ppl that come from everywhere are there. I never thought a second that someone would be better than someone else because is race, is believe, is financial condition or even from where he come.

I am a product of an interracial marriage between an asian and a white man. My parents are still together after 26 yrs of marriage and work wonderfully as a team. I think interracial relationships should not be looked upon so harshly, because in the end we are all human beings just trying to make emotional connections. Who cares what they look like on the outside as far as ethnicity.

Every morning, I roll out of bed and check 3 sites; gmail, facebook and ampedasia. Why would I check a forum first thing in the morning? Well because the threads are interesting but mostly because people here use correct language. Thanks for not ruining it.

All I have to say to those who have a slightest tinge of aversion of dating their own race is this:
I pity you.

Of course, there are cases such as lilazbliss' parents. I've met old people like these, they are indeed very sweet, the husband respects the wife as much as the wife respects him. But for each of this case, I can see a few more where things are forced, or rather, more than often, the asian girl is dating the white guy along the lines that whites are better than asian. And in these cases, it is damn obvious there's only a one way respect.
