Korean pop singer, Rain reflects on how Michael Jackson influenced him.

CNN translation:
"I feel so sad and very sorry to hear this. To me, Michael Jackson was my mentor. He is my idol because of him; I started dancing. He will be a legend forever. He is a mentor to all dancers. I'm sorry to hear this. I hope he is happy in heaven. I hope he is happy in heaven."

Rain's right that a lot of the dancers, newbies and veterans alike, have been influenced by Jacko... I believe here in the Philippines, Gary V and Billy Crawford among others have been dancing Jacko moves since very young... and I remember Jabbawockeez danced to his music as well, so, he had influenced a lot and that what made Jacko legendary! RIP MJ!

It is such sad news. Rain is very much right that Michael Jackson was a mentor to all dancers. He was a marvellous singer and dancer and will be missed.

When I heard Michael 'the genius' Jackson died, Rain was the very first person i thought of. Why? because I know that Rain's dancing skills was influenced by him (Mr. MJ). That's right, he was his (Rain) mentor and idol when it comes to 'the moves and grooves'.

Rain was absolutely sadden to the fact that his favorite icon and idolizes so much was gone :'( especially that the death of MJ was after his birthday! *sad sigh*

MJackson will surely be missed by the people ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!

its sad to see that michael is gone and he has influenced so many people around the world regardless or race...i feel like so many ppl saw michael as their idol cuz tons of american celebs say that too. it must be really sad for rain cuz the birthday is suppose to be one of the happiest days and right afterwards, it becomes one of the saddest day for ppl all over the world.

jacko's death is really sudden and it definitely affected lots of celebrities whether they be american or asians. it is indeed bad news for rain who hails him as one of his idols.

im also sad this happens to MJ. he's also my idol especially when i was i kid. he's a big lost in music industry...
