There is accusation that Mariah Carey's "Standing O" song was plagiarized from 2NE1's "In The Club" song.

I have compared both of the song , but I can't seem to notice the similarities except the part where Mariah sings "Oh oh oh ohhhhhhhh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhh"

it's only the ohhhhhh ohhhhh ohhhhh part joanna lol. cause chea i listened to compare too lol. and it's definitely only that part! lots of youtubers said the same thing too lol ><

This accusation has already started prior to 2ne1's last promotions for their mini-album... I think I mentioned it in the CTAMT last month or something... It's only that small part, but I guess whoever started this is just getting back to the plagiarism issues for some of G-Ds songs and 2ne1's I Don't Care. The similarities are also small parts like a few seconds or so, but it didn't stop the talk. So if they think those are plagiarizing by the YG talents, then some thinks Carey's song also has plagiarism issues. I think that's the contention now...

I think there's no concrete set of rules in the music industry coz musicians are influenced by fellow musicians... You get inspirations from just a small note, so, the similarities show in a small part of songs... There are a handful of musicians that are really original. The greatest example is MJ and look how just one song or a small verse from his song has inspired tons of musicians and performers worldwide...

I know right...I'm just surprised how people can be so nicky picky for small little parts in a song, but w/e...thanks for stating your opinions xD

-- as much as i like 2ne1, i think the accusation is kinda stupid lol. Its kinda like trump trying to copywrite the word "your fired" like "oh oh oh oh" don't really make a diff in the song much and if i were to hear only the beginning of both the songs i would be able to tell a difference lol.

i feel the same as ZeroRegret that the accusation is kinda stupid but then the issue is kinda catchy..
