Ordering at a Restaurant

You may not remember any of this stuff, but one this you have GOT to remember if you want to speak Japanese is ください (please)! It's very important!

ください
Kudasai
Please - This is an interesting one. ください is only used if you want someone to get you something, or do something for you. It's like requesting for an action. But you wouldn't use it in terms of "that pleases me".

Nan ga hoshii desu ka?
What would you like?

Mizu wo ippai kudasai.
Please get me a glass of water.

Hai, nan ga tabetai desu ka?
Yes, what would you like to eat?

Sushi kudasai.
Sushi please.

Let's say you wanted to order more than sushi, all you would do is add と (and).

Sushi to hamba-ga- kudasai.
Sushi and a hamburger please.

I'm only using restaurant examples, but you can use it anywhere! And that's all there is to it!

RE: Ordering at a Restaurant

@bluejayy

tenn nai is written 店内.

おめしあがりくださいーお召し上がりください in other words it means, "Douzo", please help youself

in a restaurent 店内で お召し上がりですか means: "Are you going to be eating here?"
