Did you all see the trailer for the J horror movie turned American remake One Missed Call.. This is possibly my favorite Japanese horror film and hearing about this being remade by Hollywood didn't set to well with me.. But after watching the trailer I am not to disappointed however I’ll wait till the release to give my full opinion.. Right now I am neither anticipating it nor am I disgusted by it. I am upset however that Hollywood does not have originality anymore so they mooch off the success of novels and Asian blockbusters..
i saw that trailer yesterday. when i saw it, it looked and sounded familiar to the japanese version. then once i saw the title, i knew it was a remake. i agree, hollywood has run out of ideas for any type of movie. now they just rip off of overseas movies, mainly japanese and a few chinese movies.
Yeah ron watch it first.. It's a great movie and pretty damn creepy. Actually it's a trilogy so you'll have to watch all three and when you do it'll make more sense. I still have not watched the 3rd though but not that I'm mentioning it I think it's time to search veoh..
Never watched the japanese version, but of course originals are better than remakes
This reminds me of The Ring, where its like someone calls and you die seven days later. It just like.. someone calls and then someone else dies. Looks really good though. Too bad im not into horror XD

The ring was awful in my opinion.. I don't know why everyone was so afraid of this movie it was not even scary.. Sure the little girl was creepy but that was about it.. Ringu was not really all that scary to me either though lol..

No it wasn't to bad a film but it just wasn't scary and as much hype as it received for being the scariest movie of the year I expected more from it...
i like the Jaop version better any remake of asian movies i don't really like, like internal affair + Departed w' Leo and Matt. i think the Am. is ok but like asian better. Andy Lau and Tony leung are the best
