RE: Mars Review

i havent read the manga this drama was based on but the storyline is really good. At first i was confused about some of th events happening in the story, but it got really intresting afterwards. Vic Zhou and Barbie look really good in this, and i love seeing those paintings in the drama.

I've seen a little of it- the entire series is uploaded on Youtube, along with Meteor Garden I + II. It's a very heavy disturbing series (what I've seen so far) but it's riveting.

I got hooked to the duet between Barbie Hsu (Da S) and Vic Zhou- "Rang Wo Ai Ni" aka "Let Me Love You". Actually, I heard a snippet of the song before I saw the series.

i have not watch this show yet/but i would like to ask if this drama is nice?is it a romantic comedy?

RE: Mars Review

Mars is a darkly brooding, psychologically complex drama that takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. It is also one of the best and most complex dramas I've ever seen, highlighted by incredible(and incredibly nuanced) performances from its main leads, Vic Zhou and Barbie Xu. Vic plays a carefree, daredevil playboy with a tortured soul and Barbie plays a shy, traumatized artist with a past. It is essentially a story of two broken people healing each other. What sets Mars apart from other dramas(besides its unusual, and very successful, take on the opposites-attracting formula) is its emotional depth and superb acting. Vic and Barbie not only totally inhabit their characters, but they also have incredible chemistry. It sags a bit in the middle, with too much repetitiveness/focus on a minor character, but the beginning and end, and much in between , are amazing beyond all reason. Highly recommended(only don't watch if you're looking for something light and frothy)
