Love On A Diet Movie Review
[Image: 0007357l.jpg]

The synopsis:
Mini-Mo is Chinese and is originally from Hong Kong but now resides in Japan. Years ago she was in love with a pianist by the name of Kurokawa. Then they were forced to part. From that, it made her depressed and drove her to eat non- stop. Now, ten years later, she's up to three hundred pounds....>.< Kurokawa: now is famous and tours the country having silently Mini shows up at every concert. Kurokawa can't recognize her anymore, which drives Mini into a major depression.
Now switch over to Fatty, an equally overweight knife salesman who accidentally becomes Mini's friend and confidant. She hangs on to him because she feels she has nothing left, and Fatty takes to her only after he discovers that she's really a sweet girl beneath all those pounds.
Out of the Blues, Kurokawa reveals his still-strong feelings for Mini on a national radio program. A long time ago, they made a promise that if the two ever lost track of one another, they would meet ten years in the future at a particular place. Mini wants to meet him, but she's afraid he'll reject her current form.
Seeing Mini sink further into despair bothers Fatty, so he makes a deal with her. In the six months until she is to meet Kurokawa, he'll help her lose all that weight so she can appear before Kurokawa as the girl he once knew. It's tough going at first, but their mutual friendship brings them closer to their goal, and closer to each other...

So who will Mimi pick???.......

Watch and FIND OUT! =]

My opinion on the storyline:
Good in length. Very cute and Funny at the same time =]

Characters and actors:
Mini Mo - Sammi Cheng
Fatty - Andy Lau
Kurokawa - Rikiya Kurokawa

My Thoughts:
This is a pretty old chinese movie however I loved it. Loved Sammi Cheng and Andy Lau =].

Conclusion:
Recommend movie for everyone =]

RE: Love on a diet
Oh I love this series! When she weighs the food on the scale and goes "Bon Appetit" and Andy is eating by the fistful. So funny. Basically one of my highlights of my childhood years!

Aw I love this movie! I don't even remember the first time I saw it since it was a pretty long time ago. Such a cute love story and Andy Lau does a nice job too! I might have to watch it again just for laughs!

RE: Love on a diet
Really funny and cute movie. It's one of the few chinese movies that actually have a plot and aren't pointless.
