RE: Looking for some new Amped Asia staff
Wow first to apply. Well even though my post count thus far is not as high as everyone else’s I feel like I can still contribute to Amped pretty well so I’ll apply.
I don’t know if you want an explanation but I’ll give one just in case.. I think the best possible position to apply for would be Super Moderator. I know my way around the forums and I can dedicate a good load of time to Amped. I’m not applying for the ban usage. I’m applying to keep the forum I spend a good amount of time on clean and balanced. I believe I’ve followed the rules so far and I can be an example for others to do the same.
Ah, well good luck with the new staff whoever it will be.

RE: Looking for some new Amped Asia staff
I would like to apply for the position of Super Moderator.
I have been active in Amped Forums for a long time, and would love to be given more privileges and powers. I am willing to start being more and more active here at Amped Forums.

RE: Looking for some new Amped Asia staff
This is great news for us, the forum team... We need all the help we can get to make AA a friendly place for everybody... Whoever makes the team... I salute you... This is not an easy job... especially if you encounter spammers, double posters and newbies rolled in to one... lol... but it's a fun job! I can attest to that! lol
Lance, I have a few queries, though...
- What happened to the previous/current site/forum staff? Coz I've noticed some of them haven't been in the forums for awhile... a few weeks or so! Can they still be considered site/forum staff? For how long does a staff be inactive to still be considered site/forum staff?
- I've noticed the different job oppurtunities. Do these opportunities mean that if they apply for a specific job, that's all they're going to do? Are these limited to the job description and are unable to moderate other sections? Will their names be visible to their specified sections so that members know whom to report to?
- Will there be a moderator to track newbies's posts? Coz I've noticed that some newbies and even old members don't read the forum rules, don't read previous posts or threads, and keep on posting messages that was already answered a few posts/pages back or posting/making wrong threads! I don't mind anwering those, for the amped points you know... lol... j/k... glad to be of help... but it's frustrating sometimes...

1) I am going to be a bit more lenient because it is still the holidays. But if they don't come back, they are definitely going to be demoted. A few of them are probably going to get demoted today.
2) If someone moderates a section, they can still moderate other sections, however, their main focus will be that section they applied to.
3) As for now, there aren't any plans to have that specific job.

RE: Looking for some new Amped Asia staff
I think we need more moderators to keep the forum organized. The number of newbies who usually don't follow the rules have increased and the few moderators we have, including myself, can't keep track of a lot of them.
Don't know if this will make a difference or if it is against the rules (which isn't stated), I'd like to recommend 4jpz because I believe she does the best job on the forum. I've watched the behavior of a lot of members on the forum, and I don't think anyone does a better job than 4jpz. She's very considerate of others and in the the past, she has reported to me a lot of the issues that went on in the forum. She's also helped out a lot of our new members, answering their questions and giving some of them warnings. She's also one of the most active members on the forum.

I'm sane; it's the world that's crazy.

geez... thanks HybriDSmbr...
but Lance already made me one... lol... a few weeks back... I think he got sick of my numerous reports so he made me one... rofl... but I asked him to demote me to staff since I like the AA staff logo better than the moderator's purple color... lol... I do have moderator powers though... so, if you noticed, I haven't reporting to you with the double posters and the like...
I already know how you feel when deleting, merging, moving posts/threads... it's frustrating!!! lol...I just finished merging multiple posts of a newbie, 30+ posts in one thread!!!... :sigh:... and yes, I agree with you that the forums need more moderators... it will help lessen my wrinkles... lol...
Thanks again, girlfriend!

Oh, no wonder! In some time long ago, I remember you had merged some threads or something and I was wondering how you did that when you had the staff logo in your name. Not to mention, your name wasn't in purple like the rest of us moddies. I didn't even know Lance could even do that, but then again..it's Lance after all. Haha! xD But yeah, thanks for the good work you've put into everything. I noticed the number of rule violating newbies have decreased recently and amen to that. It's good to have you on our side, you should've announced it, you modest fool. If anything, you're the one that helped lessen all our wrinkles! And to make up for being slow, here goes it:
!!!CONGRATULATIONS 4jpz!!!
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiink!!! Here's the surge of power you gave me the day I became mod!
I know you will be one of the best mods we'll have, so please keep up the great work!
