RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
More brutal ? Definitely, the "electric chair". I have actually seen one of the punishments on a video not too long ago. I think, it was a scene from "faces of death", and it really did scared the "hell out me". I always feel that, the death penalty itself, is a brutal act, but again, for those who have lost their loved ones, these victims may feel differently. Converting the penalty to life inprisonment however, may add issues on the increased number of prison occupants, expenses to the government, and probably .. in short, does not scare the criminals to stay away from commiting crimes !

RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
which do you think is much brutal? and do you think this is proper or life imprisonment is enough?
both are just as bad..and life imprisonment and/or even killing them won't turn back time to save the person they did it too..

Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
Although I am not too keen in favoring killings, my answer has to be Lethal injection because with the chair there is a chance that the person will not die instantly.
Furthermore...the reason why I answered this question is that I really feel that someone that commit certain crimes DO deserve to be put away.
If you are strong enough, this is not a BS statement, check online what some murderers did to their victims and you will understand what I am talking about.
P.S. For your own sake DO NOT check the crimes against children.

RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
yaa.. i agree.. there is no right for someone else to decide on a person's death..
so i think life imprisionment is already bad enough, as u have just made that person's life.. freedom-less.. but deciding whether a person should deserve to die? i think god has plans for that..

RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
i say electric chair is more brutal only because it is electricity, but taking anyone's life should depends on the crime and if there is a 100% chance that this person deserves this punishment.

RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
I believe that the death penalty should be used, but only in the most extreme cases with no doubt at all, where the crime is of such a level (the level I believe vantru is talking about).
Some say that killing these people wont change the past.
But I say it may change the future, people need something more to fear than some type of free food and accommodation.
The costs to keep some of the worst people in the world alive are enormous. Imagine if these prison costs were put into schools or hospitals…

JKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJ!!!!!!!!!11
imprisonment is already hard enought
what happened to beheading and hanging..?!

Do not regret things in the past, only live in the present ,dont think about the future.
Life's too short, so why waste it on school.

RE: Lethal injection or Electric Chair?
They say that lethal injection is more humane than electric chair. Maybe coz they put the person to sleep first before they inject the chemical that will put the criminal to death. I have seen movies where they put the criminal to death by electric chair. If the movies' depictions are true, the criminal makes bodily movements/struggles before he dies, that is cruel.
But I'm not for death penalty. There are reasons why the criminals did what they did or how they became as they are. But of course, what they did is not justified. It's just that in some places where they have the death penalty, they say they have the death penalty to prevent others from doing the punishable acts. I just don't know if after the deaths (as punishment) the crime rates went down.
