Lee Hom Wang

What do you guys think of him?
He's incredibly talented (he can play the piano, violin, erhu, guitar and many other instruments extremely well. plus, he is well educated - was admitted into Princeton and Yale but chose to go to Williams College to study music instead). Although he is known as a Taiwanese R&B singer, he also sings many love ballads.

RE: Lee Hom Wang
He's a good role model IMO. He has the smarts, looks, and talent. He's the top singer in Taiwan with Jay. He deserves a lot of honor for his work that he produced. I even heard he got perfect on his SAT's!

RE: Lee Hom Wang
Wang Leehom Invited to the Grammies
The Grammies is arguably one of the most prestigious musical awards in the Industry. Unlike other awards such as the MTV Music Video awards or Billboard Music awards, the nominees are not judged on popularity or how "flashy" their music video is, instead each nominee is merited on their music quality. The Grammy is often called the "Oscars" of the music world.
It was recently leaked that 3 three songwriter-producers from the Chinese language musical stage were invited to attend the 49th annual Grammies. These include songwriter-producers Tan Dun Wai, Kai Yang Shi, and Wang Leehom. It is an honor for these three acclaimed producers to be invited to attend the event, especially because none of their albums are produced in English.
The latter of the 3 invitees is Taiwan's own songwriter Wang Leehom. Leehom has arranged, produced, and composed over 100 songs and has written lyrics to over 60 songs. His latest production is showcased on Track 3 in Elva Hsiao's new album "1087", entitled "Honey Honey Honey." Leehom not only produced and composed the song, he also helped Elva write the lyrics and completed the acoustic guitar instrumentation and all the MIDI programming for the song.
Elva was extremely nervous before the recording process because she hadn't recorded a song in a long time. In an attempt to mitigate her anxiety, Leehom called Warner Bros. Company to ask what Elva liked. They told her she liked the Hawaiin and Los Angeles beach. As a result, that night Leehom went out to buy posters of the Hawaii and Los Angeles beach and posted it in the recording studio to try to make Elva feel calmer.
However, it is still unclear whether Leehom has time to attend this event. Leehom recently has been extremely busy. He is wrapping up his filming of Lee Ang's new movie, working on his next album (due out in March), writing a Chinese-language Broadway musical, and preparing for his concerts next month. Due to his busy schedule, he barely has rest time and is often seen drifting off to sleep in the car. SonyBMG has made no comments.

LEEHOM WANG TO REPLACE JERRY YAN AND JAY CHOU AS PEPSI'S NEW ENDORSER
According to the newest article from a magazine, Pepsi might replace 言承旭 (Jerry Yan) and 周杰倫 (Jay Chou) with 王力宏 (Leehom Wang) as their new endorser.
After the embarassing incident that happened at the Golden Melody Awards in 2005, Leehom's popularity has been highly increasing. Last year he has grabbed the "Best Male Vocalist" award at the Golden Melody Awards, and throned as Music King for the second time. Oscar winning director 李安 (Ang Lee) also gave Leehom a very important role as second male lead in the new film, 色戒 (Lust, Caution) that is due to release world-wide this October. According to a very new article in a magazine, Pepsi is attracted to Leehom's image and popularity and decides to use him to replace Jerry Yan and Jay Chou as one of Pepsi's more prominent endorsers.
According to sources, Pepsi's current endorsers are 蔡依林 (Jolin Tsai), Jay Chou, Jerry Yan, 陳冠希 (Edison Chen), 古天樂 (Louis Koo), 謝霆鋒 (Nicholas Tse), RAIN/BI, etc. Adding the salaries of the seven major stars, it exceeds $100,000,000 NT. Because of this the manufacturers are careful with their endorsers and are very strict with them. Lately there has been rumors saying that the manufacturers wanted to change endorsers, and they are Jerry Yan and Jay Chou.
According to a source, both Jerry Yan and Jay Chou are extremely hard to handle, mainly because of their picky requirements and unbearable attitudes. A crew member pointed that earlier on in 2002 when Pepsi found F4 to endorse their drink, their individual salaries were about $2,500,000 NT. But since over the years F4's popularity has slightly dropped, they only had the choice to renew their contract with only Jerry Yan. However Jerry requested that the salary was to raise up to $3,500,000 NT, giving the manufacturers a pain in the neck. Aside, Jerry Yan also constantly complained about the costumes and script and would always request for a staff meeting discussing about endorsement changes, which had annoyed the manufacturers much.
Jay Chou began endorsing for Pepsi since 2004. At first Jay Chou was expecting to be paired with 鄭秀文 (Sammi Cheng), but he became disappointed when he found out that he would actually be working with Louis Koo, Edison Chen, and 吳建豪 (Vanness Wu). During filming hours Jay would pull a long and annoyed face. The manufacturers were slightly displeased with his subtly impolite attitude, but because of Jay's current elite status in the entertainment industry, they decided to renew the contract with him anyways.
Over the last two years Leehom's popularity has increased in an alarming rate. Both his concerts in town and overseas has experienced exploding welcoming rates, breaking records. Adding on to being part of Ang Lee's new film, his status is pretty stable and strong. If Leehom was to endorse Pepsi, his salary will most definitely be higher than Jerry's, but will still be lower than Jay's. Pepsi's spokesperson, Fion, said that the contracts with Jerry and Jay are still going. When asked if Pepsi will add a new member to the endorsements, she said that it is not convenient to reveal at the moment.
