Korean language is choppy

Who thinks that the Korean language is choppier than most? It's obviously not a romance language. It doesn't sound as good as mandarin or Japanese IMO.

What about you guys?

RE: Korean language is choppy

yeah I believe that is true. It's not as smooth it has a lot of "ch" and "sh" and "s" sounds so thats why it sounds choppy.

RE: Korean language is choppy

I think that its pretty smooth, but I haven't heard a lot of it though. I think it could be romantic, but no doubt mandarin flows better than korean. Sometimes Japanese sounds very aggressive, but again, I've only heard a little japanese

RE: Korean language is choppy

Really? I think japanese is the smoothest language --- the sounds are just so pure (the syllables are really limited so no weird dipthongs)

When men speak japanese, it can be aggressive but with women, its quite nice.
Korean i think sounds ok! It sounds roughish sometimes but all languages can, but i personally don't like mandarin --- sounds a bit funny at times with the intonation. Prefer korean, but unquestionable (in my opinion!)--- japanese flows the most!

Japanese sounds really nice I definitely agree. Especially anime characters and Japanese women, they sound so good.

RE: Korean language is choppy

Korean sometimes sounds choppy but it depends on who is talking and what they're saying.
Japanese and Mandarin sound beautiful . . . they are all unique languages and sound nice in their own ways though.

Sad  RE: Korean language is choppy

I'm Korean but I don't speak it. Yes...it's very sad. Sad However, I have heard it all my life and I never really noticed the "Choppiness"
