Really? I think japanese is the smoothest language --- the sounds are just so pure (the syllables are really limited so no weird dipthongs)

When men speak japanese, it can be aggressive but with women, its quite nice.
Korean i think sounds ok! It sounds roughish sometimes but all languages can, but i personally don't like mandarin --- sounds a bit funny at times with the intonation. Prefer korean, but unquestionable (in my opinion!)--- japanese flows the most!

Japanese sounds really nice I definitely agree. Especially anime characters and Japanese women, they sound so good.

RE: Korean language is choppy

I think the only time Korean sounds good is with music.

I've heard Koreans speak and argue and all I hear are words with the "b" and "o" and "g" sounds, which doesn't sound too pleasant to my ears. However, the language isn't as bad as Vietnamese, but overall I think Japanese is the prettiest Asian language.

I'm sane; it's the world that's crazy.

RE: Korean language is choppy

it's not a romantic language (at least not pleasant to hear) because of the way they speak it (like Japanese language, does not sound romantic at all).. but who cares, i still love and appreciate Korean language.. and i am a fan of Korean drama... it doesn't sound bad at all when you get use to it

RE: Korean language is choppy

You should ask people who speak many languages or those multi-lingual speakers. All languages are unique in certain ways. I find "hangul-mal" quite interesting and I speak English, Malay, Mandarin with few chinese dialects with no difficulties and I am leaning Korean thru' internet and watching the Kdramas!
