i think all is good... depends on how, who and when they say it...... i mean don't really look at the movies or song... since there are many backgrounds sound. In the reality i found japan isn't that great also same goes with mandarin and korean. all is just the same, all are good. i like all of them, korean, jap, and mandarin ,though i would not really eager to learn the mandarin.
sorry..... it is just my opinion....

Korean sometimes sounds choppy but it depends on who is talking and what they're saying.
Japanese and Mandarin sound beautiful . . . they are all unique languages and sound nice in their own ways though.

yes can be, but certainly this is the least understandable of all asian languages, i mean very different from others,,,taiwanese doesn't sound bad either

RE: Korean language is choppy

Korean sounds rougher than japanese but smoother than mandarin. I hear a lot more simple syllables and it sounds more stacatto than mandarin, which is why korean sounds "neater" to me. I don't speak any of the languages, but sometimes korean sounds like a mix of japanese and mandarin. Atleast when i watch k-dramas, it sounds like japanese with some complex non-stacatto mandarin sounds thrown in.

RE: Korean language is choppy

i don't feel that korean is 'choppy', but i still prefer mandarin as i speak mandarin, & i think mandarin is much easier to get along

anyway, all the languages are unique

after watching series of k-drama, i'm thinking of picking up some simple korean, hehe
i note that some of the korean pronounciation are quite similar to mandarin, though ... i started to like the language =P
