Josh Hartnett in Philippines

Philippines - Hollywood star Josh Hartnett has arrived in Philippines to shoot his latest movie entitled "I Come With the Rain," which was produced by Central Films and directed by Vietnam's Tran Anh Hung, whose "The Scent of Green Papaya" was nominated for an Oscar Best Foreign Language Film in 1994.

The shoot took place at Mount Diwalwal, one of the Davao region's vegetable-producing areas. Diwalwal is a mining village in Compostela Valley, which is home to some 40,000 families. A source reported that Hartnett's party was served guinataang tilapia (fish cooked in coco milk) and adobo, but it was not known if Hartnett ate the said Filipino food.

A number of Filipinos has been part of the local production team like Filipino filmmaker Maryo J. de los Reyes, who confirmed that several Filipino actresses are playing support characters. Local residents will also play as "extras." The village chief stated in a local paper that "200 residents would be hired as extras for P300 each."

In addition, it has been reported on local radio and tv networks that the prominent people of Mindanao, esp. those with young girls in the family, are trying to make contact with Josh Hartnett but then again it's not allowed for security reasons... Even the big networks are prohibited to interview Josh as per contract...

I soooo wanted to go there... It's only a three-hour ride... I wish... lol...
