Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo in a Television Series: A Time For Us

Filipino actor Jericho Rosales and Malaysian star Carmen Soo will be working together in a television series co-produced by two of the largest companies from two countries, Philippine's ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. and Malaysia's Double Vision. The contract was signed on the afternoon of March 26, 2008. Present on this mementos contract signing between the two neighboring countries were ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, Double Vision executive Lim Bek Tek, Jericho Rosales and Carmen Soo.

This is a big comeback for Rosales for he has been busy composing songs after his supporting role in ABS-CBN's "Pangarap Na Bituin" (Dream for a Star). He is popularly known in Southeast Asia and parts of Africa for his exemplary performance in "Pangako Sa 'Yo" (Promise To You) with actress Kristine Hermosa.

Rosales said, "To me it's a very big opportunity to revive my career here and outside the Philippines." He further stated that this series will be "... quite interesting-- two countries, two different characters, two nationalities and we are gonna tackle a lot."

Soo, who turned to acting from a successful modeling career, also mentioned the same sentiments and hopes that she'll have a good time working in this project. Soo has worked with Jacky Chan for the movie "Georgeous."

The said television series will start filming on the 30th of April and will run for two months in both Philippines and Malaysia.

Jericho seems popular in Malaysia and other countries where "Pangako Sa'yo" was aired. Carmen Soo, I read somewhere she's a model and won a talent search. I must admit she's gorgeous!

News update!!! (July 19, 2008)
The director for "A Time for Us" Gilbert Perez (Born Gilbert Roland Guevara Perez) passed away last Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at past 10 p.m. at the St. Luke's Medical Center, Philippines. He was 48 years old.

He had a heart attack last July 1, while directing a scene for "A Time for Us."

News update!!! (May 31, 2008)

Jericho Rosales is back in the Philippines from a two months spent filming in Malaysia for a television series with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo.

Rosales said in his interview at Entertainment Live dated May 31, 2008, that Carmen Soo and the rest of the Malaysian production crew will be arriving in the Philippines in the coming days. They will be shooting for the next two months and be back in Malaysia for the fifth and final month of production.

This is not the only international project for Jericho Rosales for this year for he is set to shoot a movie (or already filming... I'm not sure about this) with Step Up 2 lead actress Brianna Evigan. The movie has tentative titles like "Subject: I Love You" or "I Love You Virus."

These two actresses are rumored to be the cause for Rosales's breakup with long time girlfriend Heart Evangelista... but Rosales had negated this. He stated that his relationship with the two actress are purely professional and maybe onlookers see it as a romantic involvement because the projects are both romantic in context.
