that's suppose to be much less extreme...it looks as if her face is aritificial due to the intensity of the makeup

There are many unique visual styles in Japan. Though the one that pisses me off the most is that of the Ganguro. These girls tend to idolize the American Californian appearance, the bleach blonde hair, tanned skin, white eyeliner on both the eyes and lips, when I see these girls I constantly fight the urge to just slap them.

Personally I find the Visual Kei (a major focus on androgyny) and Oshare Kei (a major focus on color and happy tones) visual styles much more appealing to the eyes. Decora is not half bad when it's not over done either.

It reminds me of the white girls in America who tan themselves; they just look orange and scary. I suppose I don't mind the hair being that color though, but that orange tan is just euuugh---gotta go. To top it off, they just haaad to wear bright make up, as if my eyes weren't bleeding enough.

lol I don't like any of those styles for some reason.. It really doesn't appeal to me. o.o
I usually like girls with lighter skin, favorite being pale skin. o.o
So maybe that has something to do with it. lol

i don't like ganguro style coz the fashion to much accessories, n the make up is to much in her face, they skin too brown..i know the gals like in gals manga, n galscircle in j-drama, but sometimes they look fashionable

I think most of Japanese like to wear heavy make-up. especially the eyes part. looks exactly like a doll - living doll. sometimes looks so scary. but, they have their own fashion andat least different with other countris. ^^
