Hello There, Guest! (Login — Register)
lol i just got myself a new comp. too two days ago i got windows vista so im not sure which one is good since my old one is windows 98 however i have try workin with windows XP its good too and windows vista? hum....my is still pretty slow but it is getting faster each time i use it. it only depends on the GB you're going to get.
Well, if its only a small step from 98, then thats a huge bummmer. The title "Vista" means it should be like... Vistacular, but I guess Windows made it way too overrated/
well Vista jus got out so it still has some bugs where as XP has been out for a while and doesn't have many problems, but many technical errors in terms of gettin spyare and viruses....if ppl r sayin Vista relates to 98, I consider that a good thing
XP is better at the moment because it's more compatible with more software and games at the moment. I'm just waiting for Vista and directx10 to kick in but it looks really nice.
Vista is a much better and stable operating system. It has been completely overhauled when it comes to security. It also allows you to interact more and customize your desktop to your specific needs. It of course is behind on all the drivers and stuff that you may need to run it correctly with all your other devices, but you will have to upgrade those anyway. Also there are four versions of Vista. If your new and don't know much about any capabilitites, just get the home version and stay away from the ultimate. I don't expect vista to start kicking butt for about another three years. But I would jump on it now if I were you. XP Pro which is the upgraded version of xp is a good os as well but need at least service pack2 and it is time to move on.
