the downside of Vista is high Memory usage which appears troublesome. heck if you got the penny to upgrade to 4GB of memory (it's a lot cheaper now) then Vista is better in terms of the features it offers. anyway windows 7 is coming and i believe its worth the wait now ( it should perform better than Vista plus few extra features such as multitouch) as it can operate from a netbook without much trouble

Vista is suppose to be better, but I prefer XP

vista if you have lots of memory as it have better memory management structure. Reason why it uses lotsa memory is simple: Ram is faster then hdd.

XP is better supported obviously.... it's 8 years old already..
Let's set what Vista can offer, about 6 years from now...
If it's not already has it's ass kicked by the evil twin brother, the all "new" Windows 7.. more like Vista + SP2 I suppose... haven't try it though...

Personally, I like Windows XP more because there are a lot more things that are compatible with it. But Vista does have its features and is much more customizable. I like being able to customize my computer, even if I can't install all the same programs or software because of the compatibility issues. I complained a lot about Vista before, but after awhile, I got used to it. Now I might go try to do something on a computer with Windows XP and not know what I'm doing since I've spent so much time with Vista. x_x
