Hello There, Guest! (Login — Register)
I vote for XP. Of course, Vista has a beautiful sight and all that stuff... but most programs are not Vista-ready. And your computer will run slower as Vista uses system resources very heavily. If you plan to use your computer for light work (not graphics, no recursive proccesses, no data analysis), then Vista is OK.
Xp XP XP XP...hehehe depends what you are using your computer for... if its for multimedia stuff like animation effects and photoshop work... then a decent computer with Xp will do, but Vista ....*poof say give me more ram agarrr give me more speed agarrr every thing more... if u just going to listen to music watch movies and reply and post to ampedasia den vista is good... [posting is faster on XP.. . ] ...
My opinoin is that vista is better....
but there's soo disadvantages to it..
for instance, if wirte something on the new microsoft word...
you can't access it on the old microsoft word...

Microsoft word(Microsoft Office) is not an Operating System. so having a vista or xp has nothing to do with microsoft office..
To run Windows Vista smoothly you need at least
1-Intel Pentium D 3GHz with 4 MB cache RAM
2-You need at least 2 GB RAM 667 DDR2
(if you're hardcore gamers like me,I suggest use 4GB RAM)
3-A good graphic card
-nVidia 7600GS and above
-ATI Radeon X800 and above
