i found that vista have a lot of good stuff and i found it better that XP

what did you "find" that was better on vista than xp?

is it the speed? because my computer has proven to be faster than most vista desktops out there.

is it looks? i dont know but my desktop looks pretty nice already.

vista because its the latest model of windows. But my com is xp

well i agree with most people. wait for a year or two when vista kicks in with other compatible softwear. most companies are starting to catch up to vista.. but most haven't changed yet.. =S

personally i'm waiting for another year... ><

no no that's the first mistake in buying computer os. i would say only 25% of the programs out right now are compatible with vista. even if the program is labeled as vista ready it still doesn't work as well as if it was with windows 2000/xp. vista will not be passed that 75% functionable point until the end of the year.

thx. it is xp with a vista skin i put over it and then boa as my wallpaper ^^

I'm running on XP but I heard that a lot of programs are not compatible with Vista yet. I would say for right now XP is better but once Vista gets upgrades then I am sure it is going to be better. XP was crap when it first came out and people were still using Windows98 but once XP got all it's upgrades people made the switch.

I am using Xp right now but I plan on getting a new laptop but the ones I want are already formatted with Vista so the questions become, do I stick with Vista or downgrade back to Xp? What do you think. the laptops I am looking at right now is a sony or a toshiba. both have 1024 DDR and a 160 hard drive. they both also have Vista Premium.

well, if you are gonna use it for gaming or something then vista would be nice since the new games would require vista more then XP. On the other hand, XP is actually more "safer" then Vista despite the new additions and what not. If you want the new additions to Microsoft Word and all that junk, go ahead and feel safe behind that windows firewall or whatever they have. Stay with Xp IMO

xp is good. doesn't require a lot of memory. vista has a nice taskbar. uses a lot more memory. too flashy at times.

i'd trust xp - vista is a new prog and they always have a lot of problems when they are new (ok they ALWAYS have a lot of problems) - besides you can always change to vista later
