Into Thin Air
Into Thin Air

Main Characters
Michael Miu, Melissa Ng, Bernice Liu, Kenneth Ma, Power Chan, Patrick Tong, Vivian Yeo, Michelle Yim, Ben Wong, Hiu Siu Hung

What, when, where and who
The story begins with Michael Miu's story and how he lost his son. Michael resigned his work as a police, and opened up a detective (spy) business to look for his son. After two years, Michael still couldn't find his son back, even with the help from Bernice, Power and Vivian. All four of them managed to help others to find their missing things, but won't able to find Michael's son back. Meanwhile, Michael met Melissa, who helped him with his detective business... Michael build good relationship with detective Kenneth Ma, together, they solved some cases.

After some cases, Michael discovered that his son was dead, but soon later, he realized everything was a set-up. When Michael find the real truth behind his son's disappearance, he was hurt. Melissa was there to support and help him. At the same time, Kenneth had a crush on Bernice, the two had hard time telling each other about their true feelings...

THE FACTORS
- Love Factor
The Cases Worth Mention
Rose Flower Murder Case - this one is little creepy, with some good twists. Try not to watch episode four at night, you might not find your sleep easily afterwards. Creepy moments will make you feel excited about watching the series.
Finding Goals - starring Johnson Lee as a guest star, who plays a rich guy's son, who is dying to find his goal, only realized that he loves acting, not business. I think this little case is pretty funny, it also talked a little about Power Chan and his girlfriend. Michael also learned a lot from this case as he is able to find his own goal after loosing his son.
The Piano - this is by far the most emotional short story I ever encountered! Starring Michelle Yim and Patrick Tong. It's about the relationship they shared, how Michelle caused Patrick's blindness, and how Michelle tries to make up for him by teaching him to play piano. Patrick rejected Michelle as a mom, he hated her for causing his blindness. But, Michelle never gave up on him, she always there to support him, even willing to give her eyes to him! This short part of the series will make everyone cry like crazy. There was also a very beautiful part in this story, where Michelle's ghost and Patrick playing piano together. It was so emotional and beautiful...

Kenneth Ma
The first time Kenneth showed up at the series is when he is solving the Rose Flower Murder Case. I was shocked to see his detective style, so cute and handsome! Kenneth's character is so serious at work and relationships, and yet he is so shy about love. It is so funny to see how he developed feelings about Bernice, and wasn't even able to do much about it. The first time he saw Bernice was in the hospital, Bernice wore something really sexy, and Kenneth couldn't get his eyes away from her. Kenneth did an awesome job for playing a shy and serious guy.

Episode 1 - 12
If the series can end SOON after episode 12, this could be the best series of the year. Too bad, the producer decided to put so much extra after episode 12 (see below for details). But, anyway, the fist 12 episodes was excellent. It has lots interesting things about the spying job. Pretty exciting as a matter of fact. Also, the Patrick + Michelle Yim story was a big bonus. Episode 12 also ended great as we all found out where Michael's son is. Everything happened in the first 12 episodes are just great, and you got to watch those.

- Dislike Factor
Episode 13 - 20
As I said above, if the series can end SOON after we found where Michael's son is, this will be a perfect series. However, the producer added too much unnecessary plots after episode 13:
First, Michael's easy forgiveness about his ex-wife and his best friend.
Second, Michael's crazy idea about giving his son back to his ex-wife. How can you just slap your kid, and yell to him to get back to your ex-wife? It' is just unreasonable.
Third, Kenneth-Bernice-Power triangle, OK, for a good amount of time, I was questioning why Bernice has feelings toward Power, it feels strange. Also, for the longest time, I actually thought Bernice and Power will end up together. If that really happened, I will yell at the producer all year long... Anyway, I just think this love triangle is very unnecessary, why can't Bernice and Kenneth just date soon after they had that kiss on the street? Why adding so much extra?
Fourth, Melissa's twin, that whole thing about switching identity is driving me very MAD and CRAZY! I can't handle it, I can't accept it, it is just so wrong. Why do you ever want to switch identity with your twin sister, so that your twin sister will end up with someone you love? What kind of crazy idea is this? Also, what is up with Michael's character, who can't even tell who he is dating with.

- Chemistry Factor
Patrick Tong & Michelle Yim
To all of you guys who watched the series will agree with me on this: Michelle and Patrick shared the most special mother and son chemistry, even though they only together for a few episodes. Their story was so touching, which I believe the story made most of you cried. I did too, have to admit that I was crying non-stop when Patrick walking into the church, only found out Michelle lying in the center, peacefully.. Even though Patrick didn't forgive Michelle before she died, but you know Michelle fells his son's love and his forgiveness, because you feel it too.

Michael Miu & Melissa Ng & Melissa Ng's Twin sister
I didn't want to hate Michael and Melissa's chemistry, because I found their chemistry acceptable. At least, it didn't bored me. Then Melissa's twin sister showed up, that totally destroyed everything! Now, I have no choice but hating Michael and Melissa's chemistry. This twin effect truly will drive you crazy. Especially when you see it is Melissa's sister, who taught Michael how to love. Then, the crazy switching identity thing, I just don't know where did the producer get that idea from. If the twin sisters hate each other, and switching identity to revenge, it will be a much better thing to accept. But, they love each other, and switching identity to love the people around them. That is just wrong.

Kenneth Ma & Bernice Liu
I can't say they are the perfect on-screen couple. I just think Kenneth is too nice, too kind, he is a little too good for Bernice. However, I still like their chemistry together, especially when Kenneth decided to kiss Bernice in public. I wished they can just share more scenes together, that will make me feel much better about their relationship.

THE COMMENTS
- The Performances
You have to admit Michael Miu is a great actor, but I liked him more in "The Academy", and not in this series. So, I will like to give my Best Actor award to Kenneth Ma, I just can't stop loving his character. Power Chan also did an awesome job. As for Best Actress, nope, it's not Melissa's turn, she can not play twins! Bernice did a OK job, her performances didn't impress me too much. The person I like to mention is Michelle Yim, even though she is only in couple episodes, but her performances were great! Patrick Tong and Johnson Lee also did great as guest stars.

- The Story
If you draw a big line between the first 12 episodes and the last 8 episodes, you will actually enjoy the story a lot more. The last 8 episodes just too hard to believe, but the first 12 episodes just too good to be true. It is up to you about how to draw the line.

- Worth Watching?
Of course, you should watch it. At least, for the first 12 episodes. Then, you might decide to give up, but don't. Watch the whole thing will make you go happy, sad, crazy, mad, scared. All the feelings mixed together. It feels great, so watch it.
