well, if you know kanji, you would know how to read some chinese. there are words written and mean the same but is just pronounced differently. if reading is what your asking then yes but if your asking about saying or speaking it, its different lols although there are words that sound similar too.

kanji and chinese is pretty much the same thing. it's just that kanji has different pronounciations to the characters. but the characters are still written and mean the same thing in both "languages."

yeshhhh it doessss but not all of chinese. lols since i can read quite a bit of chinese, i can also understand kanji too. lols

from what I know, Kanji and Chinese letters are the same... but there are some letters in chinese that kanji dont have.

kanji borrows characters from chinese
meanings may be similar but not always
and of course it is said differently too
