Synopsis:
The story of Hwang Jin Yi, the famous 16th century Gisaeng.

This story sheds new light on the life of Joseon-era dancer, musician and poet Hwang Jin Yi, who made her art blossom even when her love was put to test. The series also depicts the tragic life of a woman who faces hardships due to her social status. The drama drew the spotlight even before its premiere because Hwang Jin Yi is portrayed by top actress Ha Ji Won. Wang Bit Na portrays another prominent dancer of the same era who is jealous of Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s artistic talent. The role of nobleman Kim Eun Ho, Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s first love who dies because their love turns out unrealistic due to differences in their social status, is played by Jang Geun Suk, while king¡¯s relative Byuk Kye Soo, who becomes addicted to Hwang Jin Yi but fails to win her heart, is played by Yoo Tae Jun. Actor Lee Shi Hwan portrays Yi Saeng, an ambivalent character who is neither Hwang Jin Yi¡¯s lover nor friend. Kim Young Ae plays the role of dancing girls¡¯ trainer, while Kim Bo Yeon portrays her rival, Mae-hyang. The role of dancer Heon-keum, Hwang Jin Yi's mother who gave birth to her as a result of her belief that love only comes once in a lifetime, is portrayed by Jun Mi Sun.

My Review:

This drama series is about the life of a woman from joseon era who is creative, witty, dancer, musician, and a poet who seek perfection of his arts, with this ability, she uses it to protect herself in the hardship due to their lowly social status. For me, among other historical series this one will touches your heart, you'll be able to see the hardship, of the women in the joseon dynasty treating them as slaved , a thing, for not giving them respect as it should be,and rivalry of the woman so to be notice by a nobleman. There's much to see. many says this is a second for jummong series but i guess much better than that .though i really believed we have this own preferrence i'll guarantee you it's the best. and also a higly recommended one.

You've just made your first boo boo Vieran.. Reviews have got to be self written.. Even if credit is given for the synopsis there has got to be some part in there that you wrote yourself and from what I can see there isn't.. I'm just going to move this to the Korean movie/series talk section since I don't think there is a discussion thread for this yet.. Just take heed of what I said though for your future reviews..

its a very ouching sorry...
a tragic and sad love story for a kisaeng(geisha)
i love the portrayal of hwang jini which is ha ji won..
and his first love which is eun ho portrayed by
jang geun suk.....

Like this series, Ha Ji Won I think fits the role and I like Eun Ho too, I feel sad when he died. But now in the tv series Jin yi found a new love , hope he loves her like Eun Ho and the series ends happily.

Hey no harm done.. It was just a simple mistake.. I'm just glad you didn't make 50 of them lol then I would have had to report them unfortunately.. With reviews you can use the synopsis from toher sites with credit but then there should be a section where you give your own opinion.. For example

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH (lol) Credit: BLAHBLAH.com

My opinion:
I liked this movie because it was good etc etc etc

Anyway to stick on topic I actually have only watched about 3 episodes of this show.. I didn't get much into it but I know that people praised this seres a lot more then the movie with Song Hye Kyo so I might give it another chance.
