what?..im totally confused..so when you download a series..it doesnt have subtitles?..you have to go to one of those sites to download subtitleS?oh gosh..im totally lost now..so if it doesnt have subtitles...if you want to burn the series onto a CD..it will not have subtitles at all..umm..i only understand english..so i NEED english subtitles..=(
No.. Sometimes if a series has hardsub then there is no need for these programs.. Hardsub files are videos with the subtitles embedded in them.. Umm like watching a youtube video with subtitles.. However there are also softsubs which are videos where you need to download the subs separately. These subtitles usually are available right beside the video you are downloading BUT in order to play the subtitles you’ll need the correct codec which is why these video players come in handy.. All you need to do is download and install just one of these video players (I recommend VLC) and then when you have downloaded all your video files just play the series or movie in the media player you downloaded.
Ohhh, this is really helpful .
It answered my questi0ns ab0ut these separated subtitles fr0m each 0f the epis0des.
Thank g0odness i alredi have VLC =D.
Lance Wrote:This tutorial only applies to softsubs, meaning the subtitles are external from the actual movie file. Hardubs refers to subtitles that are added into the movie file.
Keep the .srt or .sub and .idx file together in the same folder as your avi file (make sure they are named the same - ie: movie.avi and movie.srt).
To display the subtitles download Directvobsub and install, it will automatically load the srt file into you player when you view your movie file.
