RE: How do you stay in shape?
I actually have a small gym going on in my basement, so I usually go down there and run on the tread mill for 40 mins every day, and then weight lift 3 times a week.

>.> However lately during the summer I just don't really have time to work out anymore, or I'm too exhausted. Funny how that works out, get a ton of free time, and it gets all taken up.

I used to rune a lot since I did track but now I'm sooo lazy yet I'm still skinny. I don't play much sports either except for the occasional game of basketball.

RE: How do you stay in shape?
well to get fit you must eat yes eat, being skinny doesnt mean you are fit in fact you are probably are very "out of shape". let the food settle then warm-up which for me means a quick mile afterwards start streching atleast 5 mins. if you don't sweat when you strech then you aren't streching good enough. then condition... which means sit-ups, jackknifes, push-ups, squats, ect. do that for a good 30-60 mins. after that give yourself a good 5 mins in deep silence and just relax cause heres where you can get creative. you can either continue conditioning, lift some wieghts <-very optional, play a sport w/e you like tennis, football, soccer, basketball, ect. if you don't have time you dont have to. other things to keep in mind is drink alot of water and only water when you are working out, all those fancy energy drinks powerade, gatorade, vitamin water ect. are for after you work out. at the end of the day you should feel great cause sleep will be your best friend or maybe even your jaccuzi. do that for about 5 times a week, 2 days for rest and you my friend will be at the best shape of your life in a few months. remember to continue doing this even after you reach your goal because you must maintain it. yes this is sorta like a guide for people. i do that except i do wrestling for about 60 mins. hard sweaty wrestling. in fact if you do wrestling after conditioning it can really boost you into shape. if you want numbers wise here they are
*1-2 mile runs
*50-100 push-ups
*250-300 crunches
*20-30 jackknifes
*10-20 reverse man push-ups <-not sure of the real name
*100 sprawls
*50 stand ups
*neck work-outs
*5-10 mins leg lifts
*wrestling for 30-60 mins <-mostly about 30

Everyday before I sleep, I do some yoga stretching, 100 consecutive pushups, and 50 consecutive crunches. Wink

RE: How do you stay in shape?
Oh, I heard that doing exercises before bed isn't too good because you will be so active that you can't sleep. Dunno if it happens but whenever I do something active I can't sleep for a good 30 minutes.

RE: How do you stay in shape?
really? well if you work out legitly i'm sure you can fall asleep easily. when you work out it raises your endorphins which gives you that feel good feeling. correct me if im wrong. i usually work out hard during the day and by the time i get home i just relax and then some light conditioning until i have no energy left. no reason to keep any energy. then i'll be really tired out and i just fall asleep. try it out. then sleep feels way better and its way easier to fall into it.
