Sometimes I'm really lazy and don't do anything till the last minute and I get screwed over. Is there some way you guys have thought of that will help me to start doing my homework on time?

Don't get distracted. I say go to the library so you won't get too distracted. Also plan to do things earlier and use a personal organizer of the things you are going to do like a project coming up. I have the same issue too but just stay focused and put your mind only on the work.

Also, I think don't stay at home any do work unless you have to because homes can get distracting with the TV and computer.

hum...i can never do any homework now a day if i dont finish it at school because at home i cant concentrate and i dont really do any but take notes. when ever i watch or talk it will take me 5 min and only get 3 words so i cant do my homework at all so i sometimes do it class so nothin to do at home

I also find myself only focused at school. In school I can do all my work without being lazy but after that, I don't have the will the pick up a pen and do work lol.

well it depends on my mood, if i'm really happy i'll finish my homework in lik an hour other times it'll take me lik the entire night since i'm on the computer and stuff. but i think ur grade should motivate u to do ur homework

The sucky thing is my "homework area" is my computer desk, so when I see my MSN flashing i'm just tempted to turn my head. I'd say go to a library, or stay after school and do it. Otherwise, just find a quiet area, and if music doesn't distract you, listen to it.

You can also consequence yourself. Tell yourself if you don't finish x amount of homework, you can't go out on the weekend. The hard part is sticking to it

Yeah discipline yourself and say stuff like if you don't finish this homwork, you will be up all night doing it or something like that.

i dont know why but i cant do my homework without somethin on like the tv or music but whenever somethings on i lose focus and then it will take me hours to finish it but sometimes i really focus and done it a hour.

Personally, I'm a last minute kind of person. I'll do everything at the last minute. Like if I have a midterm at say 7:30pm, I'll start studying at noon on the same day. Its worked so far since I'm pulling high 80s and 90s. However, I do feel slightly guilty when the midterm is more than ~25% of final, as it seems like I'm not taking it seriously.

ill juz think of failing grades..if im pressured thats d time my mind will work...:duh:boink!!
