Upcoming drama Hot Shot challenges Fated to Love You ratings

Upcoming drama "Hot Shot" is set out to compete with Taiwan's highest rating drama "Fated to Love You." CTV and GTV racked their brains to attract viewers; on June 17th announced that if the rating of the first episode of Hot Shot wins against Fated to Love You, the 3 main male leads Jerry Yan, Alan Luo and Wu Zun will reveal their upper body.

Upon hearing this, Alan Luo did not hesitate to say: "No problem!"

During the Shanghai Film Festival for Wu Zun's debut movie "Sword Butterfly," Wu Zun, was told about this. He thought very seriously before saying: "But I don't think this is a big deal, because in the drama, I will already reveal my upper body."

As for Jerry, who is also in Shanghai at the moment, filming his new drama "Stardust/Starlit" His manager expressed that they have not yet been informed this news but Jerry put a lot of effort into "Hot Shot" so evidently, he hopes the drama will do well.

Up to Alan to promote Hot Shot without Jerry and Wu Zun:

Since both Wu Zun and Jerry are in mainland China at the moment, it is up to Alan to promote Hot Shot and attract viewers. Yesterday at 100% Entertainment, a 1-minute preview of Hot Shot was shown.

Although Fated to Love You is gaining tremendously good ratings, Alan says he actually does not feel a lot of pressure. Plus, when he saw the 1-minute preview of Hot Shot, he feels that it is very attracting, hence he has more confidence to promote it. He also honestly expressed; that at first, he did think that Hot Shot should air after Fated to Love You because of the amazing ratings, and because Fated to Love You viewers will most likely want to watch it till the very end. However, he says that this decision lies upon the broadcasting networks, so he can only do his best on his part.

The broadcast date of Hot Shot is said to be this July 27th.

A basketball drama.. Ron might find this interesting.. I doubt the whole shirtless thing will impress anyone. Wu Zun has already been shirtless on Hana Kimi and I remember that controversial photo of him with nothing but a diaper on (lol sorry but it looked like a leather diaper ) being spun around the net everywhere so pretty much everyone has seen the guy shirtless.. Idk about the other guys though so if they have never shown anything but leg and arm then I'm sure people will be racing to watch that series just to get a glimpse of them shirtless.. You know what's funny? It wouldn't be a big deal over in the states but in Asian countries it's practically like seeing them completely nude lol.

What's wrong with number 11 Viet? Let me guess, do you think it should be #1 lol?

Yeah! It wouldn't be a big deal, with shirt or shirtless... Putting 3 big stars in one series will help with pomotions also... but it will all boil down to good storyline which FTLY has provided...

But still I wonder what will be the ratings next week! FTLY is enjoying the 9s for 2 episodes already and consistently #1 since episode 2 so can Hot Shot pull a 10 on the pilot episode? nah! I don't think so but who knows...

hmmm they quite the shoes to fill if they're aiming to beat FTLY... the cast and storyline is pretty much solid with FTLY. it's consistently beating rolling love honey & clover by a mile! we'll see if they have what it takes... i'm rooting for this show though!

this is a good news. two of my most favorite taiwanese actors, this is great! cant hardly wait to see this movie.

wow, it was like hitting birds with one stone lol... i like Jerry Yan because of Meteor Garden and im beginning to like Wu Zun (sorry viet ) because i find him good in acting and i must admit good looks too lol... im going to watch this for sure although im not really into basketball thing but surely it will hit
