Hollywood movies vs. Asian movies (General)

Lately, since I've become an asian movie fanatic I've found that I've lost any interest whatsoever in watching Hollywood films. The inner messages they give are not only violent, somewhat brutal, and contains a large amount of cynicism.
Asian movies on the other hand are full of humor and the lessons they portray through the camera lenses are always warm and true. Ok, they do exaggerate sometimes.. However, most of the times they allow the audiences to see the realistic side of life and at the same time let them (or us) know that there is always hope out there.
What do you guys think? Do you agree or disagree? And why?

Actually i think that most Asian movies that I watched has a general theme... of either comedy romance movies or tragic love stories.... (those for the series)... or power hungry kung fu related... same goes for Hollywood movies.. someone ends up a hero, the world needs a saving... or its jackass comedy type.. or yeah the everlasting romantic comedy that is more famously known as Chick Flick..
however once in a while we see kind of fresh ideas.... especially those stories that aer adopted from real life events... or some of the movies that won awards...
In response to your comment... yes i agree that Asian movies allow people to see the realistic side of life... but so does Hollywood movies (such as Pursuit of Happiness)... personally i feel motivated most of the times by watching good Hollywood movies (not the sappy crime fighting ones)... but i feel more entertained from Asian movies... (am i making sense?)

I think that Asian movies are more relaxed and refreshing than the lame Hollywood offerings. Since I've been watching American movies and TV for 50+ years, I especially appreciate the lack of explicit scenes and foul language. Right now, I am addicted to the historical dramas, such as Jumong and Dae Jo Yeong.

it depends
because there are some really good hollywood movies
but there are also really good azn drama/movies
by far azn drama beats out american soap operas
but for movies, iunno it just depends....

but right now i am completely an azn drama phase
i feel like an addict

I like both. I'm not too picky. hollywood's great and all, but it's nice to sit back and watch something different for a change.

i think hollywood is gud at action movie and they earn alot while asian movie is not

proud to be one, we all should be. our cinema is soaring and a threat to others because we can be a box office in our country even if foreign movies are simultaneously shown.

i think both movies are great and sometimes it depends on the themes. asian are really good in dramas and comedy films while american movies like adventure and so on in terms on visual effects it really amaze you and makes it so great.
