One of the major television network in Hong Kong, TVB has decided to make an Chinese version of the famous Korean historic drama, "Jewel in the Palace"

The difference between the two series is that the Chinese version will be about the palace servants. The story is supposedly set in the Tang Dynasty era revolving around the rivalry of the four wardrobe department. The departments tasks is to provide gold pins, wardrobes and jeweleries for the Empress.

Charmaine Sheh will be casted as the leading character, Lau Sam Ho. TVB have also arranged for Susanna Kwan, Michelle Yim, Tavia Yeung and Moses Chan to portray the other characters.

When reporters mentioned that the new series was a mirrored version of "Jewel in the Palace", Charmaine Sheh said: "This series is about wardrobe, not food."

Though it will only start filming next year, TVB is already sourcing wardrobe, headgear and jeweleries to ensure a luxurious palace effect.

wah! Tang Dynasty fashion! This will be one big budgeted series coz palace fashion means grandeur and added to that is the era!

Looking forward to this... I haven't seen a full TVB series though. Just an episode here and there... but yeah! looking forward to this...

Heck yeah this is gonna be a huge budgets.. Remember they use to wear gold! Nothings gonna top Dae Jang Guem for me but I still would like to see this series.

korean version of jewel in palacs is in big hit all ove asia. with this new version maybe a lot of expectations will occur, with regard to this i just wish them goodluck and success.

i cant wait to see this but i am not a big fan of charmaine ..eh i will have to wait and see
