In the same article, it's revealed that Han Chae Young will have a cameo role in the Korean Hana Yori Dango. She'll be Yoon Ji Hoo's (Kim Hyun Joong) first love... Other confirmed cast is Han Go Eun who will play Goo Joon Pyo's (Lee Min Ho) sister.




Group Eight has revealed today the female lead for Boys Before Flowers a.k.a. the Korean Hana Yori Dango. It's 24-year old actress Goo Hye Sun.

She will play Yeonoo, the daughter of a dry cleaner owner.

According to Director Jeon Ki Sang of the Delightful Girl Chun Hyang and My Girl fame, he chose Goo Hye Sun because she fits Makino Tsukushi's image well. He also acknowledged the fact that the public had tossed her name around a lot as a prospective Makino Tsukushi and was one of the front-runners in the numerous polls.

Her acting credits include the female lead roles for K-dramas like Strongest Chil Woo, The King and I, and Pure 19, and a cameo role in the US movie August Rush.

o cool cool! The leading lady of the drama is chosen! and i would say she seems like a Makino Tsukushi lol. She has that tom-boyish look =] that fits the role =]. cool cool. hella excited now! wanna see this korean version now! but hehe i think it's so cute how i know the guy playing Rui from WGM! hehe he's too cute in there haha.

umm i doubt she will portray the role of makino that well, although ive seen her in Strongest Chil-woo but i think the role doesnt suit her, i was hoping it was a girl with a strong personalities and she looks like a "naive shy girly" to me rather than a "tomboyish, can-fight-girl" and does she looks too old for makino role?

In the Taiwanese version Makino, I mean San Cai, is older... It's okay if HyeSun is older, what matter most is she can pull the tough role off...besides Lee MinWo looks like her age! lol... Sorry Lee MinWo. It means you're mature-looking

i mean, San Cai was older but doesnt look old, she looks like really like a college girl at that time, but Hye Sun was really looks old, i mean she doesnt look like a college girl to me at all

right now, i have so much expectations in seeing this one, but i know for sure they can make it great, humnnn i am kinda mixed emotions, im so much interested to see this too.

she does have the poor girl look maybe...she was acted in another show acting as an village girl too rite...i think her big eyes makes her look really pure, maybe tts y she got the role...
