gokusen is another anime-type series being converted into a drama..it's a little bit 'the same type as GTO'..but now the teacher is a girl..and the fact that she's the next-in-line to be the head of OEDO group (it's a yakuza group)..instead of being the leader,she wants to be a teacher.having an understanding grandpa,she can fulfill her dream.but the problem is now,she has to hide her identity as the granddaughter of the yakuza's family and that she has to deal with a bunch of students whose,according to the other teachers,'trash and problematic students'.she used many methods to gain her students trust.slowly,she become their most favorite teacher ever.

my comment:

the storyline is a little bit different with the anime.they changed a little bit here and there to fit in the situations.i give 85% for this drama.it's fun to see how she changed the perception of her students about school and the other teachers about the students.but,i dont really like the way she fights with all the morons & gangsters.seems not real,for me..but i like her innocent face when she slipped out her tongue saying all the yakuza's words..hehe..it's funny to see her like that.besides,with all the amazing actors such as matsumoto jun,oguri shun,uchiyama shinji,and many more making this drama worth to watch...last words before i end...FIGHT-OH...OH!!!oh yeah...i forget to mention.they also have made GOKUSEN 2 with all the new faces n most of the students are so cute,handsome n good-looking..hehe..compared to the 2nd one,i preferred the 1st GOKUSEN..juz like people always say,first is the best..but still,it depends on you,rite...enjoy watching it..

hehe...i do also think that many people prefer the second one bcoz there are soooooo..n i really mean it...cutie pie guys in the claz..but i prefer the first one...cuz i think the second one is a little bit sarcastic..huhu..she always repeating the same line,same action..kinda borink..but still,i prefer teppei in the second series..n matsumoto jun is jyz sooo adorable n also kuma..

i think the drama is better than the anime....but i prefer GTO...for teacher situation movies ^^

This drama was soooo funny! I even liked it better than the anime verson. At first I thought it was just going to be some boring drama about a teacher who doesn't really look that good, but by the end of the first episode it was really funny and had a twist of her being a mafia boss's daughter!!

i thought e part I was beta because of matsumoto jun & shun! lol~

Gokusen is good. i like those teacher-student relationship. I found the drama better than the anime. Think because of the main actress coz i like her.

This drama is good. I already watch season I and II. I was hoping that there would also be season III. I already miss Shin. There a lot of lesson you can learn

I have only watch the first one. I love it, but since most of you said the second one is better make me want to watch and compare it myself. anyway i love the teacher identity, she's tough yet funny. i love the fighting scene, although its not much.
