Reports say Hong Kong actress, Gigi Lai Chi will marry a 52-year-old millionaire next month, following her retirement from showbiz in late October.

A report published on Sina.com Thursday said Lai Chi, 37, is planning to wed Ma Tingqiang, a disabled businessman, in Australia on February 22.

Her father did not deny the information, but made clear that people will soon hear more details regarding this report.

She announced her retirement from show business shortly after the release of her latest work, 'The Gem of Life,' on October 20.

The actress had to look after the business of her disabled brother, Lai Ying, following after his car accident.

Reportedly, Lai Chi felt stressed out with filming, looking after her brother, and running his business at the same time. It was Ma Tingqiang who lent Lai Chi a warm hand and helped her through the tough period.

Hong Kong's Next Magazine disclosed that the actress has been quietly dating Ma Tingqiang for about six years.

at first, i was shocked when i read that her future husband to be is 52. but hey, age doesn't really matter these days. as long as they both truly love each other; that is what matters the most. seems like he helped her out a lot when she was in a difficult moment in her life. nothing brings two people together than the love and care for each other. wish them nothing but the best and a long and happy marriage.
