Full House
Full House is the story of an ordinary woman and a celebrity man who meet on an airplane. Song Hye Kyo plays Han Ji-Eun, an innocent and fun-loving woman who happens to get conned by her best friends. Her friends sell off her house, which is a huge and luxurious house that was passed down by her father, while she is on a trip visiting China. On the plane to China, she happens to sit by Lee Young-Jae, who is a huge celebrity actor in Korea. When she finds out that her trip to China was just a ploy to get her out of her house so her friends could sell it, she asks Young-Jae to help her out. Being a rude and inconsiderate man, Young-Jae is reluctant at first to help her, but he finally agrees to lend her some cash when she reveals that she once dated a friend of Young-Jae's (a lie), but Young-Jae sees this is an opportunity to use Han Ji-Eun to take away his friend, Min-Hyuk, from hitting on his own crush. When Han Ji-Eun returns to Korea and finds out her house was sold to Lee Young-Jae, she is in a panic, and reluctantly she takes up a job as a maid in return for shelter. Although they both can't stand each other, their relationship builds slowly, but there are other love interests and obstacles in their way. Who will end up with who?
I felt Full House was truly a great story. It was light-hearted and funny and incredibly entertaining. Still, the story was a bit long and didn't need to span 16 episodes. I thought many times that the story was moving backwards in an effort to increase the length of the series.
Song Hye Kyo is in her cutest role yet. As Han Ji-Eun she is incredibly funny and entertaining - especially when she does her 3 bears dance. Rain played his character well too, being an immature spoiled celebrity. The other characters were also quite nicely performed. Min-Hyuk and Hye-won were very strong supporting characters. Although they played love rivals, you couldn't help but feel for them too. Han Eun Jung, the character who played Hye-Won, had some very sad yet excellent scenes. It was truly great acting from everyone.
I loved the sound track to Full House, it was so good and romantic. I loved the song, I Think I love You by Byul. The music really fit with the series well, it was somewhat sad, yet happy at the same time.
Full House should appeal to all genders, ages, and races. It is truly one of the best Korean drama series I have seen. It's one of the few Korean dramas that has a happy ending! If you like happy endings and great romance stories, this one is a must-watch. Plus, Song Hye Kyo is so incredibly cute in this series, and Rain is quite the buff and small-eyed hunk!
