Following the faze of suicidal events amongst numerous South Korean celebrities, no one would have thought that a former South Korean leader would also follow in their footstep.
Former South Korean President, Roh Moo-hyun went hiking this morning before he threw himself off a 100-foot high cliff. In a suicide note left for his family, Roh called life "difficult" and apologized for making "too many people suffer," a TV report said.
"What's left for me for the rest of my life is just to be a burden to others," his note said. "Don't be too sad. Aren't life and death both part of nature? Don't feel sorry. Don't blame anybody. It's destiny." Also, he asked to be cremated with a small gravestone erected near his home.
He was rushed to the hospital at 8:15 AM where he was pronounced dead around 9:30 AM from head injuries, officials from the hospital said.
According to sources, a bribery scandal might have played into his death. Last month, Roh was questioned for 13 hours about allegations that he accepted more than $6 million in bribery while he was still in office - accusations that deeply ashamed him.
"I have no face to show to the people. I am sorry for disappointing you," an emotional-looking Roh said April 30 before undergoing questioning by prosecutors. Prosecutors expressed their condolences and said the investigation will be coming to a wrap soon.

My thoughts: this might come to a shocker for many including the people of South Korea that ANYONE can attempt/commit suicide -- not just celebrities that we hear nowadays. It is a lesson learn that we should all cherish life to the fullest. My condolences goes out to the family of Roh Moo-hyun. Rest in peace.
