I didn't like the 21 but adding the NE to it actually makes the name stand out better..

Interestingly enough, I'm now looking forward to their debut because of this ad. It's nice and cute and I think the bright colours on the black background has hypnotised me into actually wanting this phone...
2NE1 sounds pretty nice when you say it aloud. It's like "21" or "to anyone" depending on how fast you say it.
