Feelings & Opinions Terms

Feeling & Opinions terms


Feelings...

Physical sensations (hot, hungry, etc) are expressed in the form "I am...", while sentiments (depressed, disappointed, etc) are expressed in the form "I feel...". These phrases could come in handy when you're trying to express your feelings or opinions on something.

I'm (not)...- 我 (不)。。。 (Wo (bu).....)

Are you....?- 你。。。。吗? (Ni....ma?)
  • cold- 冷 (leng)
  • hot- 热 (re)
  • hungry- 饿 (e)
  • thirsty- 渴 (ke)
  • tired- 累 (lei)

I (don't) feel....- 我 (不) 感到。。。。 (Wo (bu) gao dao......)

Do you feel....?- 你感到。。。吗? (Ni gandao....ma?
  • annoyed- 生气 (shengqi)
  • depressed- 郁闷 (yumen)
  • disappointed- 遗憾 (yihan)
  • embarrassed- 不好意思 (buhao yisi)
  • happy- 高兴 (gaoxing)
  • in a hurry- 忙 (mang)
  • sad- 不高兴 (bugaoxing)
  • surprised- 惊讶 (jingya)
  • worried- 着急 (zhaoji)

Did you like it?- 你觉得好码? (Ni juede hao ma?)

What do you think of it?- 你觉得怎么样? (Ni juede zenme yang?)

I thought it was...- 我觉得。。。。 (Wo juede....)

  • awful- 很差劲 (hen chajin)
  • beautiful- 好美 (haomei)
  • boring- 很无聊 (hen wuliao)
  • great- 很棒 (hen bang)
  • interesting- 很有意思 (hen you yisi)
  • OK- 还行 (haixing)
  • strange- 奇怪 (qiguai)
