Eric Tsang Chi-wai (Chinese: 曾志偉; pinyin: Zēng Zhìwěi; born April 14, 1953) is a prolific Hong Kong actor, film director, film producer and television host best known for hosting the Super Trio Series on TVB over the course of 10 years. Due to his popularity, he is often the master of ceremony in most events organized by TVB, and is known by many as simply "the Prize Master". In his young age, Eric was a Hong Kong professional soccer player. He began his show business career as a stuntman.

Eric is known for being a short plump guy with a habit of speaking before thinking, often landing himself into hot water. His insults have led to him being assaulted by rumoured triads over bad mouthing singer Joey Yung. Most recently he had to apologise for the crude comments he said towards Yumiko Cheng during an TV act where she accidentally exposed her underwear.

However, Eric is also a talented actor and has appeared in many successful Hong Kong films, gaining actor awards and nominations. Early on in his career, he was typecasted as a bubbling, ugly, and crude sidekick, and it wasn't until encouragement from his daughter to stop doing comedic roles that he went on to star in a film with friend Alan Tam and was awarded a Hong Kong best actor award.

Eric Tsang is also an avid Buddhist, often leading other actors in efforts to raise money for Hong Kong Buddhist temple and events.

His best friends are Natalis Chan and Alan Tam, and his daughter is Mandopop singer Bowie Tsang.

Trivia
Father of Kwok Cheung Tsang
Started his own production company with Alan Tam called 'Alan and Eric Films Limited'

Super Trio was one of his most well known show! And yes, he was a soccer player and some people don't know that because they just think he is fat lol. He was actually quite fit back then.

I remember a while ago, news around said he got hit in the head with something? Not really sure if it was even him, but I think it was.

Super Trio Show is so funny, we just finished watching the last of the episodes like 2 months ago. So funny. There old stuff was better, but the newer ones are good too

RE: Eric Tsang
I find the newer stuff is really plain and like its all the same games with the walking on the balls, rolling on to the balloon, and the pan on the head one.

My favourites from the old one were when they got non chinese people to sing some chinese songs and they had to guess it Big Grin Also the one where they had to remember a chinese phrase and pass it to other people that also dont know chinese. Those were the funniest.

Haha, I like those ones too! I love it when they eat the sushi, that's always funny. And I guess just when they have to step on the lever and catch the food. IMO that never gets old!
