Edison Chen has received death threats in regards to the last-year sex scandal that he must stop appearing in public - or else he is going to pay for it.

The threatening letter posted in Pennsylvania, United States was delivered to Hong Kong's Cable TV yesterday afternoon.

A Cable TV spokeswoman said an A4-sized envelope with eight U.S stamps was received around 5 P.M. It contained a smaller white envelope, which contained a typed letter and the bullet.

The letter reads, "We hope Edison Chen will take this warning seriously, otherwise his personal safety will be threatened."

The spokeswoman immediately informed the police, but couldn't speculate as to why the station was being targeted. The crime squad has officially launched an investigation regarding this matter.

crazy! People are so crazy these days to threaten Edison. It's not really his fault!

And I don't see why Edison is the one being blamed so badly... The person who stole the photos and uploaded it should be blamed for all this...

i agree! this is totally getting out of hand. yeah, edison took pics of his past gfs during private moments, but as LU-XIN said, it wasn't edison who leaked the photos to the public. it was his personal "collection", which, yes, he didn't securely protect or hide before he got his laptop fixed. so that was his mistake.

also, everyone has the right to take such pictures as long as all parties are in agreement. with that said, if the pics that edison took of his gfs weren't a mutual decision, then yes he should be punished or reprimanded, but to no certain extent of death threats.

this scandal is between edison and all his past gfs who were affected by it. so the public should not try to take matters into their own hands. all the public can do is just state their thoughts and opinion; not set out death threats.

if the person who sent the death threat is a fan of any of the girls involved, i just have to say, man are die-hard fans getting crazier than ever!

well, hopefully all of this will just dissipate and everyone can just move on with their lives in peace and not have to be reminded of this scandal for the sake of those involved.

I guess there are just people in this world that take things way too extreme. But what a waste of media coverage.

i thought the issue about Edison Chen was already finished and "died" common, Edison already said sorry and admitted his mistakes so why there are people who are making a fuss about it...

I'm not sure he deserves to die but he was stupid in the first place to let the pics circulate, I think he maybe was showing off and then it got out of hand which he didn't expect

I think it got totally blown outta proportion especially since he's like an Asian Star Icon..but yea I agree with everyone else, this was all said and done a while back.

oh wow... death threats?! that's going too far... geez, if they despise him so much, just ban all his movies. besides, it's the past, let the guy move on. i think it surfaced again coz of his plans to promote his new movie in singapore or somewhere in asia. some people need to get a life. i kind of feel sorry for him now.

any good news from edison chen? hehehe! he seems to have a lot of negative write ups he's not totally a bad guy after all. hummm..
