Guide to Downloading from Megaupload

Megaupload is a third-party file server that basically lends its bandwidth to other users, in return it gets money from advertising revenue.

To download from Megaupload, please follow these simple steps.

Step 1) After clicking on a Megaupload link (ex - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NWD32237), type in the code on the top right where it says Please Enter


Step 2) Click the button that says download on the top right underneath the banner




Step 3) A countdown timer will appear to countdown from 45 seconds (it's 25 seconds if you've registered as a member)

Step 4) Once the timer reaches zero, the actual download link will appear, you can either click it, or right click and save

Step 5) If the download doesn't work, and the next page says your IP has already downloaded a certain number of bytes, it means you have used up your alloted download bandwidth, and you will have to wait a little bit before you can download again. Or you can click the link below to bypass your download limits.

IMPORTANT
Some users in other countries may get that their country has no more download slots (usually USA has a lot of slots, so this shouldn't be a problem for US users), if this is the case, you should download the Megaupload toolbar, and then you can download without any restriction.

hi well, i have some issues im from venezuela, when i click on the link it takes me to megaupload, but the the only link to download says you have to be a premium member.... i dont know how to download it...please help me..!!

It's not an issue whether you're from Venezuela or not... There are files needing a premium account, in this case you have to have a premium account which costs about... I don't know, coz I don't have a premium account... all I can say is I can't afford it... lol

Now, if you want to d/l a file which doesn't need a premium account... it should be less than 400 or 500 mb... bigger file of 500+ mB needs premium access... that's the reason why some files are split into parts (.001, .002, and so on) because of the d/l access of non-premium users...

OK, i understand

it's not possible to use someone's else IP! hmm he was asking about a proxy server... instead of connecting directly to megaupload, you connect to proxy server first then proxy server connected to megaupload..with this u somekind is identified as the IP of the proxy server.... No it's not illegal... people use proxy server for privacy purposes! but it's slower and i haven't got any proxy server to work.... it's very rare to find a working one ... as i have dynamic IP..i just reset my router to get a new IP and continue dloading from megaupload.... it's quite annoying though

megaupload download limit is annoying !

To get different IP, just disconnect from your Broaband and reconnect. You will get a new IP (assume it is using DHCP).

it takes a lot of time to download there and sometime i can not down just because it says that is limited
