Do your parents let you have pets?

Any pets? My parents, both Asian, absolutely hate pets, this is mainly due to the dog I once had, which was a poodle. She shed all over the place and this caused my parents to make me give her away, it was sad, but now I can't have pets.

What about you guys?

It took me forever to convice my mom to let me have a dog. But it was only allowed to stay outside and afterwards we had to give it away ;-; Later on I was gonna go get another dog but my parents didn't want me to have one >.<

I have a dog right now who's 11 months old named Jay and he's a golden retriever. I used to have another dog, a dalmation, but he died - he was 14 years old, it was a family pet.

I had some goldfish in the past, but thats about it.

Well my father dislike pets but my mother is very lenient about them.

The pets I have:
Goldfishes (died)
Hamsters (died)
Dog (Yorkshire Terrier, the most adorable little thing ever.)

FISHIES! The rents like fish so my pets have been fishies! Though, it's not me taking care of them...so they really aren't mine?

I used to have a guinea pig but we gave it away before we moved. **tears**

I have a dog at the moment.

Back in korea I had a dog who passed away after a while due to an accident. After that we (my family and I) took up many other dogs, only to give them away eventually. Later on I had birds, hamsters, and turles, and all of them evntually died because of my mom.. (long stories). The only pet I have at the moment is a dog

Let's see...I've had a turtle...it died from dehydration.

I had a black japanese koi fish...it died cause my dad dropped it when he was cleaning the tank.

I had an orange japanese koi fish...it died because someone didn't clean the crap out of the tank.

I had a red japanese koi fish...it died of unkinown causes.

I had MANY little tiny fishes...took up space so my dad poured all of them down the storm drain.

I had some normal average looking goldfishes...died of natural causes (or maybe died from seeing the other dead fish floating)
