you know it wouldn't be boring if you actually open up to the subject and make some real world connections to your life :/. i mean knowlege is the only thing people can't take away. it might be just me but most of the time when i study i can easily have fun when i really dive into the subject. not that i study much though, video games and movies take up most of my time.

I prefer studying then working beacuse when you study and be smart you can get a good job. If you just work you wont get alot money and it will be your whole life.

that's not the entire point, thus making studying not always the correct choice...working can also relate to other things such as sports and hobbies. You can't study basketball, working at it gives you better results...you can't study a marble collection, you gotta work at it to get what you want

to get a good job/career you should study for the most part. nothing in this world is absolute of course and there are always exceptions. practicing can also be construed as studying. when you study karate for example they call it a study even though you are physically laboring yourself. my point is that studying does not just mean opening up a book and memorizing. when you are playing/practicing basketball you are essentially trying to figure out what you can or can not do on the court. balancing power, angle, arc, ect. it varies from peson to person so practicing is essential to succeeding in basketball. no one can read a book and say "over here you should shoot with this amount of power at this angle with this much height of hop" and expect to magically get the shot exactly. there are too many variables in life to pull such a thing.

so heres the question you should answer in my opinion. would you rather play basketball for money or just for fun. if you can go pro. and have fun while playing i guess working would be more enjoyable. but as for me and basketball i would rather "study" than work.

I rather work if it's something i love to do, then why not? Rather than going to school and study, so then i wouldnt have to worried about money, paying bills, and turning in homwork/papers and whatnot. More of a stress free world in a way.... for me that is. =)

I used to think working is much better than studying because when studying there are so many assignments to cover up and study during sleepless nights for exams. When I started working, I realized studying is much better T__T anyway, I'm back to studying now lol

you shouldnt be working in a place where you arent enjoying yourself. you should be making money and having fun at the same time! for me, i have to study alone because groups always distract me. so working is definately for me

you don't have to just relate studying to school. lots of people study for fun. usually as the get older they appreciate it more. from your description it looks like your problem is the dislike of school. my teacher and wresting coach has a awesome way of teaching. he doesn't really grade since he already knows who does the work and who doesn't. what he really works towards is having the students learn something rather than just giving work to them so they can half-ass it and waste their time. hes probably a teacher you would like to have.

ahh thats the ideal thought of how work should be but in reality thats not always how it ends up. family problems, finanacial problems, social problems, ect. all these get in the way of that. primarily money since its very important as you get older. once you are a adult you have to step up and make ends meet. wether that is working at a fast food joint to pay for college or supporting a family. money is a big factor when picking a job. most of the time the job that gets picked would be the higher paying job. i mean would you rather work minimum wage helping clean public recreation centers or work a desk job paying twice as much? when the question is layed infront of you what will you choose?
