do you have strict Asian parents?

My parents are so-so, but I have heard stories of parents that were incredibly strict. Seems like Asian parents are more strict than most american parent.

they used to be insanely strict, but my brother was insanely rebellious. Eventually my parents just let us do anything cause my brother didn't listen to em at all. lol

Blah... yeah I have pretty strict parents ==; Mainly my dad since I don't live with my mom.
My dad is one of those... iono abusive(mentally) yet over protective ~0~;;

Strict? Nope not really, I'd say about average. My parents don't mind me going out with my friends and such any time, and don't bother me about the little details. When it comes to school though, thats like their only expectation, its 90s or nothing else, they don't care if I study or anything, but if I get crap grades, doom... X_x

My situation is the same as MickelBoy. High academic expectations, but they'll let me do what I desire to a certain extent. Mom is pretty strict, but my Dad is probably one of the most laid-back parents, asian or not.

My dad doesn't like me going out ~0~;; And he doesn't like me talking on the phone... or being on the computer... or watching TV too much.. or staying up late.. or hanging out with boys.
My dad is pretty unfair tho. Cuz he doesn't get a long with my mom he doesn't want me to hang out with her. And he doesn't let me go to my friend's house if he doesn't like their parents.
Thats one of the things I hate about my dad, he always wants thing his way.
He screamed at me just cuz I called my cousin, just cuz he hates my uncle >.<

Plus like most asian parents he has high academic expectations too~~ ==;
What sucks is when you do good, you don't get anything. But when you do bad you get crapped for it ~_~;;

My parents are strict but too strict. Like not as strict when compared to other Asian parents.

darn, that doesn't sound too fun. Your dad sounds a bit more than typical of asian parents.
