well i was wondering if anybody takes ap classes, because my parents want me to take them but i want to know if its hard or not. well i noe its challenging but do u have like an overload of hw and tests? just wondering. cuz i dont want to stress myself out XD

well, it depends on what aps you wanna take and what kind of teachers you would be getting. i'm taking ap english and ap environmental now
ap english- lots of essay writing; tests and projects like every month but we have like easy hw
ap environmental- tests like every month, not that many projects, a lot of hw

well i'm in 11th grade and i took AP World History last year in 10th Grade and this year i'm taking 4 AP classes:
AP English
AP Psychology
AP Computer Science
and AP US History
those classes r pretty hard imo and my grades aren't that good.
i'm planning to take 5 more AP classes next year for Senior Release so lik total i'm gonna take 10 AP classes in my high school career.
Unless ur grades r really good, AP classes don't help ur GPA tat much. But u can pass the AP exam and get college hours which saves money.

yep I've definitely taken AP classes in the past. They are good for your college applications.

Is an AP class sorta like an Academic. In canada we don't have AP, but I'm assuming their like.. the hardest, or most challenging type of each course. If it is, then yes, I am taking AP courses, since most universities require it.

it stands for Advanced Placement, which means a college level course given during High School.

I think it is but you know when you enter grade 11 and grade 12 in canada right? Well instead of academic and applied, we get college, college/university, or university courses. If I'm right about that, then I haven't taken them yet since I'm still in grade 10. If it means academic, then yes, all my courses are academic.

over here, our AP English course is relatively...hard...there isn't much homework given, but you have to read your books really well, take good notes and when hw does come around, it's just usually annotating articles and making sure what literature devices and such are used...I'm naturally good in English so it comes naturally for me.

AP History is more challenging since it's based more on memorization and applying it to essays and tests...I guess you can say, the better memory you have, the more chance u have of gettin good grades..

Other then those two, other AP courses take hard work and practice

oh forgot to add something. In america, what other courses you have beside AP from lowest to highest?
