Well, there is the special program for the mentally challenged (no offense), regulars, pre-ap which is like honors, and AP. Another school in my city doesn't do AP but does IB...it's identical though

well my friend is in 10th grade and she has an AP class in history.but idk. XD but thx guys ^_^

Yeah, I took a few in high school: AP Biology, English, European History, U.S. History, and Art History. I believe AP courses are considered the most difficult courses in high school next to what my school calls, Honor classes. I've found some good and bad from taking those courses.

I did fairly well in those classes, but when it came down to the AP tests that decided whether or not I got credit for the class, I didn't do so well. In California, the purprose of those classes is preparation for the test, since it's the test that decides everything. I know some people who got C's and D's in the class who wounded up passing the test. I also knew a few others who took AP Calculus and I think that they should deserve some merit, just for taking it. @.@

Supposedly, some colleges will take the credits and count them as units for their own college courses. However, I found out a couple years ago that some colleges are now overlooking them, some are even flat out rejecting them. I don't know why exactly, but it has happened to a number of students. It depends on where you're going, I suppose. Backtracking now, I think I sort of wasted my time and energy for those classes since I wounded up in city college anyways, lol. I am thankful for the vast amount of knowlege I gained from taking those classes though.

I would rather take more AP classes cuz they really do help you, unless you totally bomb the class. If you think you can get at least a B in a AP, then you should definitely take it. You get more preparation for college and college credit as well. Even if you don't do that well but still manage to pass, colleges would rather see you taking challenging classes to challenge yourself rather than seeing you take regular or honor classes that don't require very much effort. I am taking 3 AP classes in my 11th grade year, and im planning to take 4 AP classes next year, so i am pretty happy with the amount of AP classes that i am taking or that i plan to take.

WOW.... to tell you guys/gals the truth i take full IB classes at my school and Thank gosh its my last year =)
but overall i dont think that IB or Ap is much harder than normal classes.  All AP/IB classes to is move at a faster rate than normal, and gives slightly more work
Overall i give or say that IB and AP classes are easy, but they can be fun, because i liked my classes and i had fun in them.
Just know that the teachers expect a little more from you.

im a junior, and i took AP chem, world history, and calc ab last year, and im taking ap us hist, physics b, and english this year.

aps arent that challenging, except i heard ap spanish is a killer
