Demoting Inactive Users?
I've noticed when I check the "whose online" section of the forum that many people roam the download sections area. But when I click to see their profile, they have exactly the amount of posts to get them into that part of the forum. Is there a way to block the download section off users who are only posting to get into d/ls.

For instance, if someone doesn't post in a month, but they are actively downloading series/music, then they get the download section gone and they have to get 15 new posts in order to get teh priveledge back?

I've just noticed that.. even though many are online, not many people post but just spend their time downloading. They don't even add a "thanks!" in reply to the uploader.

RE: Demoting Inactive Users?
That's an excellent idea if I must say so myself. There are people who put the bare minimum on posts just to get into the downloads section. Once they get their posts, they download without saying another word. They should get demoted somehow but then couldn't the member make one post per month and download again?

RE: Demoting Inactive Users?
Very true that they could.. but maybe.. there could be a system which they must post like 15 posts a month or else they're demoted. I'm not sure how this forums control panel works, but I'm sure.. something could be done? Maybe people have to request to get their priveledge back?

Actually there is a rule that says if you reply to a post, the reply must be regarding the download's file inactivity or a question about the download. I'm guessing this is because of the amped points, posting a thanks to get amped points is very spammy. Anyone could post a million thank yous and the amped points would roll in.

RE: Demoting Inactive Users?
I don't think deleting inactive users is a big problem. To take away their access for all the inactive members would be a large hassle, and it could possibly make many members mad.

And although some downloaders do not post, it is likely that they will refer others to the forum, thereby helping increase this forums popularity.

I don't feel like I will implement a system of deleting members.

RE: Demoting Inactive Users?
im not sure what to say but i agree with the others. on some thread i saw ost of the members with 15 or alittle bit past it. and then they stop posting and hangout in the download section.lance i think you should put another restriction like what they have to do almost everyday to get to the download section.....i think that's what im trying to say...
