Singer Crystal Kay has been appointed to do a theme song for an American film. "HOLD ON," a rock-influenced number with entirely English lyrics, will be used in "Dolan's Cadillac," an adaptation of a Stephen King short story. The film is being directed by Jeff Beesley and stars Christian Slater and Wes Bentley.

Crystal Kay has sung several themes for Japanese movies and television series, but this will be her first for a foreign production. She was chosen for the tie-up by producer Ellen Wander, who listened to the previously unreleased song.

Crystal Kay is hoping this will help her achieve her goal of entering the U.S. market. Her most recent album, "Color Change!," includes two songs she created in Los Angeles with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, known for working with popular artists such as Janet Jackson.

"Dolan's Cadillac" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters in 2009. A Japanese release has not yet been decided.

Can't wait!! I'm so happy to hear of her venture into the American market.. I've been waiting for this since her Call Me Miss album! I'm hoping this will be this will launch her American career. lol yeah that was her promo from like 2006 when her Call Me Miss album came out. The one I just uploaded is form her new album Color Change.. I wish I could have been the first to reply but people are to quick and I was away half the day .. Maybe I should delete everyone else's post

That's because she isn't Japanese xD lol.. She's Korean and Black but she was born and raised in Japan and only knows Japanese so she's a Japanese singer. She's a bit darker then in that pic though.. I'm sure the lighting had something to do with it.. You can see her real skin color in this vid.. My favorite vid because she looks her best here ^_^
