hmmm actually i dont really think so,some chinese pple do liek tanned skin,that really depends ur definition of light skin and dark skin,do you mean like diff races or solely the intensity of tan you have.

Seriously, I like people who have fair or even tanned skin color (Like some of the North Koreans (sorry, motherland America!), Taiwanese, and some of the Canton China peoples...

In general, light skin is preferred because it helps the person's facial features stand out.
However, times are changing... I really believe whatever suits the person is just fine.

Take Matthew Ko, for instance. He was the first Mr. Hong Kong in history. He's nowhere near pearly.
Oh, and add Louis Koo in there too.
