According to state media reports, China's first ever sex theme park, Love Land has been torn down after officials said it had an "evil influence" on society.

Love Land was scheduled to be open around October 2009, but it was ordered to close following an investigation by local authorities.

With many statues and displays at the park, one in particular displayed a giant rotating statue of the lower portion of a nearly naked woman bent over at the waist.

The investigation determined the park's content was vulgar and that it was neither healthy nor educational," an official said.

"It had an evil influence on society and had to be torn down immediately."

China is one of them nations that are conservative when it comes to these kind of topic, but what a surprise. For the most part, sex is just part of life.

i'm surprised they got this far, in putting up the park... didn't the officials notice the large statue before?

i know! do they not have to go through the process of getting building permits before they start spending money building that theme park? i wonder if the money spent on it was from the people of china or by just someone who has lots of money and wanted to build a sex theme park. that sure is a waste of money. hopefully the money came from just some millionaire business tycoon and not from the people.

This is an interting bit of news... What a weird idea for a theme park. Someone with a perverted mind must have approved the idea before it was built. I wonder if they lost their job after other people inspected the park...

this is for what? this park should have been demolished... not a good influence really.
